The Town and Country Planning (Fees for Applications, Deemed Applications, Requests and Site Visits) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2017 will come in force on 17th January 2018 which will result in a 20% increase in planning application fees payable to Local Planning Authorities.
There will also be a new fee of £402 per 0.1 hectare for applications for planning permission in principle and a £96 fee for prior approval applications to permitted development rights, which include rights to install solar PV equipment on non-domestic buildings.
Typical planning application fees will now include:
Householder: £206 (previously £172)
Erection of dwellings (up to 50 dwellings): £462 per dwelling (previously £385 per dwelling)
Change of use: £462 (previously (£385)
Prior Approval: £96 (previously £80)
